    Default Makalu - Everest trek

I am planning for a Makalu Everest traverse trek later this year (Nov-Dec), through the Ice Cols (East/West Col, Sherpani Col, Amphu Labtsa).
Trek will start from Lukla and end in Tumlingtar. I have already taken a month off work, and will be booking tickets to Nepal soon.
I am not planning to arrange guides or porters (turns out way to expensive for 20+ days). I am fine with ~20kg backpack & 6-7 hours of walking/day.
Has anyone done this trail? Is TIMS enough for the cols as well?
I am comfortable trekking solo, and most probably that would be the case here. Maybe find someone on the same trail en route.
And would the trail be accessible mid November mid December?
    Cheers!

A friend of mine Roland Hunter has done this trip. You can see some images here to get an idea of the terrain etc.

There is a fair amount of technical difficulty crossing the passes into the Khumbu and I would imagine that rope, ice axe and crampons would be required at the bare minimum.

There is also the issue of camping on the route as the tea houses will dwindle in the high country.

Difficult to do this solo given both the logistics and technical issues.

I hope this is of some help in planning.
