I've been waiting several years for the end of that story. I log in yesterday for the first time in AGES and there it is. Thanks Escher.

A gift for you at this festive time of year.

Wonderful story-telling Escher, and the pregnant pause between episodes was used to great effect! Appreciated the pics too.

Have recently returned from trekking Khopra Ridge with stunning views, and the Langtang trio (L-G-H). Rarely saw another trekker on trails or in lodges the entire time (a little too much of a good thing). Great weather but for an Aussie, COLD at night! And BTW, Julia and Sharon, your advice re Dukoral worked a treat not one ailment in five weeks there.

Can we have more (tall or true) tales from the mountains please?

Thanks all. I have some more -true- (not tall!) tales, but I'd like to hear some more from others before I carry on with mine. It doesn't have to be about Nepal...
