We are doing a 3-4 day side trip up the ridge staying in community lodges all the way. We will detour off from Tadopani to Khopra via Dobato and Chistibung and return via Chitre.

Peregrine Adventures offers the trip - with an extension to Khaire Lake.

Apparently you get amazing views (it's the spur of Annapurna South) from the Khpra ridge.

    Hey Webmaster

What a doubting Thomas you are. Not only does Khopra exist, but the views from the ridge are probably the most spectacular I've seen - maybe not compared to Upper Mustang though!

And yes, you can 'community lodge' or homestay it all the way. The lodges are beautifully constructed and sited at seemingly arm's reach of magnificent peaks.

Be prepared for a full day if choosing the Khaire Lake side trip. It's a long day: 1000 m up and 1000 m down. Sorry to say I wouldn't recommend it as a 'sightseeing' destination - it is significant though as a pilgrimage site.
