    True, it is one of the nice things about monsoon trekking. Most of the locals have a tradition of leaving their villages over the winter, they go down to lower regions to earn money in business or as labour and then return in spring to grow crops over the summer. In some places only the old and feeble are around in winter, wheras in the summer there are lots of people and various festivals. In Manang they have horse races and archery competions, etc.

    I have completed round annapurna trek - thanks to everybody who inspired me to go out in "so called off season" ! The weather was amazing - I have never had so beautiful weather in mountain before

    No crowed of tourist so no hurry....all local people were up there so found their culture.

    Special THANKS to Per ! I'm damn tired now - will post some picture later.
