Default Private trekking guide in Nepal

We have just returned from our second trek in Nepal.
First time, we did the Annapurna circuit in 2001, and this time we did the Everest region.
    Gokyo, Chola Pass and Kallapattar.

For this trek, we had hired a private guide: Raj Nepal.

We have seen a lot of guides while travelling in Nepal and he is certainly one of the most competent we saw. Not only is he professional and efficient, he is also very friendly.

One thing you have to consider is that, when you go trekking, you are on holiday and the experience is supposed to be fun. So, it is very important for me to have a friendly guide and someone who has a good sense of humour. We had lots of laughs with Raj.
But, when the time comes to be careful, he will take the greatest care so you can feel secure. He will always be aware of your needs and care for your health and safety.
Finally, he is very knowledgeable about the culture and geography of the region.
All in all, he is very professional.

We strongly recommend this guide to anyone who wants to have a good time in Nepal.
We are from Canada (Quebec) and if you need more informations, please feel free to contact us at

beer Best Private trekking guide in Nepal

    Everest Region Nepal November 2012
It was our second time Everest region with our best friend "Raj Nepal"'s company… HIKING HIMALAYAS TREKS & EXPEDITION Pvt.Ltd.”
This time we went trekking with his brother Hari Nepal .What a wonderful guy!! We were helped by four nice porters (2 of which we already knew from our 1st visit: Kansha and Tek). They were always smiley, polite, devoted and taking care of everything we would need…
The whole trip was great with this friendly and funny group. Everybody who goes on that trek has the same view and goes the same way but not everybody has the chance to be with such nice people.
Hari was very professional, knowledgeable about the mountains, flora and fauna. He has the same sense of humor and smile than his brother Raj. It runs in the family!
Some days, you have a short day walk and you can be sure that they will entertain you if you want to have some company.
Even if the trek is sometimes demanding, don’t ever forget that you are on vacation and you are there to have fun! They will make sure that you have!

We thank our superb team and we named:
Raj Nepal (the owner of “HIKING HIMALAYAS TREKS & EXPEDITION Pvt.Ltd.”
Hari Nepal (our guide and brother of Raj)
Nawaraj (Kansha) (porter), Tek (porter), Prim (porter) and Mingma (porter).

With a 24 hours notice, Raj organized us a side trip to Chitwan National Park. A very nice place where we saw rhinos, crocodiles, deers, etc…and we did elephant ride. Raj is very resourceful and could have organized many other type of side trips for very good price.
