    Re: Trek info

Perhaps Mr Webmaster might support a Trekinfo.com Facebook page? This might encourage more communication to keep this place alive. Especially useful at times like this.

The news coming out of Nepal is becoming more awful every day and perhaps we find it hard to put words to the images we are seeing. Has no one got anything to say about this? Perhaps we are too...

    Re: Everest routes

Instead of returning to Jiri, try walking out to the Arun Valley via Salpa route - about the same time. Then fly out from Tumlingtar. Let m know if you need more info.

    Re: snow-blizzards-kill-12-in-Manang-Mustang

    Thanks for the answer back.

I think that 'drive' I mentioned can be quite subconscious. and yes there is a fear of failure. Good lodges just over the hill, rather than heading back against...

Re: January trek with 10 year old?

In january, Lower Annapurna area will be quieter and uncrowded. Well established tourist network. Sounds nice. Personally I wouldn't rush at it a more popular touristy times of year.

Re: Is this EBC trek doable?

    Gosh - I'm guessing

Then another day to Cho Oyu Base Camp (Nepal - not Tibet side of course!)
Very long days walking still I'd say

Re: Is this EBC trek doable?

Fairly typical program. This is not to say you won't risk AMS symptoms.

Better scenic approach to EBC is via Phortse then Upper Pangboche - You can return via Tengboche.

    Najingdingma is 2650m
