  1. If I remember correctly, if you are coming from Tredevi Marg passing Fire and Ice on your left, turn first left as you enter Thamel and it is a few hundred yards along on your right. I might be wrong though! I always have trouble finding it myself!

    Good luck

    Hi Escher
Sorry to bother you, but I have been following the forum for years and you are obviously very experienced. I was just wondering if you are able to direct me to this shop (Shona's) that you mention in one of your latest posts. I assume it is somewhere in Thamel. I am quite familiar with Thamel so hopefully will be able to follow any instructions.

    Thank you and Regards

  5. Hi,
Yesterday I posted a message which was based upon our recent trip in Nepal and it was about a guide recommendation. But so far it has not appeared in the forum. Can you kindly let me know if I need to do anything else? This is my first post so I am not sure if I did everything correct.
Thanking you and with best regards,

    Hi Escher,

Thank you for taking the time and your reply!

  9. Hi Dakota,

Although I have been to the Khumbu several times I have never trekked from Jiri. I have always flown to Lukla. You'd be better off asking in the forums, that way you will get a variety of responses and also some up to date information. I gather that you can drive further up the road now and start further on from Jiri. Some up to date information from someone who has done it recently will be realy useful for you.

    Good luck.

    Hi Escher,

I read many of your posts / replies to posts on different forums.
As you are a very experienced trekker, I hope you don't mind I ask you for information on trekking times (if you have them in your notes from your treks).
In particular I am interested in Jiri to EBC - Gokyo - Lukla trek, which I plan to trek in October, November this year.
I checked LP's Trekking in the Nepal Himalaya and YetiZone trekking routes, with trekking times. They differ substantially on many legs.
I would much appreciate your reply on the times.
I do understand it is highly personal though (fitness, health, ..).
    Thank you and best regards,
