Dear YS. Would like to seek your advice on trekking in the first half of September. Am debating between the Gokyo Trek (with/ without EBC), and the hotly discussed Manaslu (with without Tsum valley) circuit. I will be landing in KTM on the 31st Aug and leaving on the 14th Sept thereby giving me 10-12 days on the trail. I've been to the EBC and the ABC in the past and am looking at coming on my own once again, and hire a guide cum porter to carry my back pack, and stay in teahouses. Yup, that's the plan. Any suggestions keeping the rains in mind?
Kindly do revert with your thoughts. You may send me an e-mail at
    Thank you very much.
    Best wishes and regards.
  2. I Richard,

Great to hear you had a good time in Nepal! Things with me, I got caught up in a number of work issues, plus my second daughter's wedding etc, more than ever... I kinda dropped off because of this. Everything is fine, family is good, plus I have an Anthology or Romanian poetry, which I have translated into English, being published by a couple of big publishing houses, which I am very happy about. Some of this stuff meant I have dropped off a bit from trekinfo, but I believe it is only a temporary thing...

Hey Daniel, who's Keith? As Julia says we got back from a short trip to Nepal recently. It was fantastic as usual, especially Chitwan. Been before but found the whole experience quite overwhelming and intense. Currently caught the cycling bug big time. Doing a few hundred miles a week. There's always something that's got my gander up. I'll get some photos up soon.

    How's things with you. Rich
  4. Hi buzzz,

In which forum is your post? I could not see it in the more recent Trekking Companion postings... If you point the approx location to me, I can delete it.
  5. Sorry if I'm breaking protocol but I can't see how to remove a posting - mustang sept/oct 2011. My plans have changed and I hate to see it there wasting space. In fact I know of 2 other 'dead' postings that should be removed. I'm getting a little frustrated and if I can't clear this posting I will have to try deleting my entire profile.

Not a problem. That is fine with me if it shows like I am doing advertising. I just put my link at the bottom because my site has some good information about Nepal if the visitors are interested in other adventures or destinations other than trekking.
