Hi everybody.
I would like to go to Mustang. Probably starting late September 2008, but I am relatively flexible. Apparantly there need to be at least 2 people in a party to get the permits, but I am alone. SO, if anybody is interested in doing this trip, let me know, please. I am already working with an agent on this, but if there is a group already going, maybe I can tag along.

Hi people:

Had to bring my own post back to page one. I am still looking for another individual or two to join me on a Mustang trek in September/October. If anybody is interested, let me know, please.

Hi Andrew

I am also looking for a trekking partner to go to Upper Mustang at the beginning of August. How flexible are you?! I'm a medical student and have got permission to study at the Tibetan medical school there as part of my elective (which we do in 4th year). So I'm gonna get an 18 day permit, trek there in 4 days and have 10 days in LoMantang, then trek for 4 days back. I'm organising it with a guy who organised a trip to Tibet for me 2 years ago & he is very reliable. A longer permit is obviously more expensive, but we will have longer to explore the area aroung LoMantang, which is pretty cool!

Let me know what you think!

That sounds great, especially staying in Lo Mantang for 10 days. But is is about one month too early for me. I cannot leave before early September. Any time in September or October would work for me (not too late in October).

Hi Andrew

Yey! I'm so pleased you like the extended trip idea! The reason I wanted to go in August was because afterwards I am going to Vanuatu in the South Pacific to work in the hospital there. If I swapped it round, I thought it would make planning difficult at the internet is VERY bad in Vanuatu. However, for the sake of finding a good trekking partner, I don't mind swapping it round as long as we were super organised! My elective period finishes October 14th & id like to spend my last few days in Thailand as my brother lives out there, so how would the last 3 weeks of September & first week of October sound to you?

Hi Suzi,

Well - probably I would like to join you - I am working at that time as an English teacher (which I am not at home) and a journalist (my profession) in a very small village in the Langtang Nationalpark. But - the village is so remote and I will all alone there - so, it would be great to have a little rest and do a great trek in between. Perhaps, you write me your exact time frame. I have to fly back the latest at the end of september.

I will come to Nepal on Monday, but you can reach me before and also afterwards in Nepal when I have access to the Internet.

What about the hight trekking fees?

Hi Renate
Sorry I took so long to reply to you. As Andrew could not travel in August, we have made arrangements to do the trek in late September to early October. From what you said it doesn't sound like you could make it then, but if you could, let me know and I'll send you all the details. Hope you find a great trek either way!
