I think it is okay to recommend a sirdar/porter to someone if he or she
was totally satisfied with the service. But, he or she who recommends
such individuals through this media should take some kind of responsibilities too. What if, this individual turns out to be a crook ?
So, I think while recommending someone, I think he or she should also
give their contact number/addresses too. Otherwise, it will look like someone is writing on behalf of some illiterate porter or a sirdar sherpa to help him out. I dont want any comments or compliments on this remark.
The webmaster can decide not to keep this posting - if needed.
But, it looks foolish when someone posts a message for everyone to
read how good a sherpa was during his trip and that he would like
the whole world to use him - then BANG ! someone gets robbed by the
same sherpa, then who is to blame ?
Good luck

I think there is definately a difference between a recommendation and an advert. I am recommending my Guide/Porter KB because he is good and will therefore be a good choice for others not because I am going to benefit myself. Perhaps there should be a recommendations section as well!
