Hi everybody,

I am planing a trek without hiring a tour operator in Makalu region in November-December. The trek is from Tumligtar to MBC and on the way back (if it is possible to do without trekking company) through Hoggaon, Thudam to Topke Gola.
Does anyone know if the route to Topke Gola is accessible for individual trekkers? Any advice, please.
If not, I just do MBC and back by the same route.
Another question: What kind of food can be purchased in Tashigaon? Thank you very much.

I prefer to carry most of the gear and food for that route and to hire a porter(s) just as a guide(s) mainly for communications with the locals.
I am also looking for trekking partners to form a small trekking group.

I am Australian, originally from Russia. I am 44 years old, easy going and fit.
I am looking forward to meet open minded and easy going partners.

Please, e-maile me if interested

Regards

Sergey

Sergey,

Well this was the first site that I hit on about Trekking in Nepal. I know nothing about Nepal Trekking and I am looking for someone to trekk with. My girlfriend will be in Nepal Nov-Dec with the Denver University student program. I am planning on taking the last few weeks in Dec to come see her and do alot of hiking with or without her, depending on her school/work schedule over there at the time. I am 29 fit and willing to try anything. So the trekk that you describe means nothing to me at this time. But I will do my research.
I hope we can work togther on this. If not, can you point me in any other directions for research and informatiom on Nepal.
Thank you. John Roguski
