Dear Travellers
:) My Wife Tara and i have just completted Annapurna circuit (April 11-29, 2007), with Pasang Sherpa as our guide. We were absolutely thrilled with the quality of service provided by Pasang. In adition to leading us safely along the circuit, we have explained many aspects of Nepal/ Tibet culture and helped us to speak and interact with local people we met along the way. He provided valuable advice in terms of which route to take and when to start each day so that we could avoid potential problems such as bad weather and strong winds. As we neared the Throng La Pass, Pasang stressed of moving at a pace that would allow us to acclimatize safely. We always felt as tough our safety was his top priority.
There are many challenges with trekking in Nepal, some of them are physical while others are emotional. Without questio, Pasang's ever-present smile and warm laugh really took away the stress and discomfort associated with walking long distances over difficult terrian. He easily kept us positive and in the right frame of mind to continue with our journey.
I would like to briefly discribe one occassion where he went above and beyond tha call of duty by assisting my wife after she suffered a debilitating injury to her foot. For the reminder of the trip, Pasang was alwyas th her side, ready to assist her over difficlut terrain.
I have only great things to say about Pasang and feel quite strongly that other trekkers would benifit with him as their guide. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require and further questions or concerns.
Sincerely
Nathan and Tara Lockhart
