For the old hands: What would you do, where would you go and what would you see if you had a month in Nepal but wouldn't be doing any trekking?
There would be all the usual touristy places:-
Kathmandu
Lalitpur
Bhaktapur
Nagarkot
Pokhara
Chitwan
The usual touristy activities:-
Rafting
Canyoning
Bungee Jumping
Paragliding
and more out of the way places:-
Bardia
Koshi Tappu
So for someone familiar with the usual places to visit what intinerary would you suggest for four weeks and no trekking?

I have always wanted to do a week yoga and meditiation by Bodnath. I haven't been to the Terai yet. Some mountain biking... I'll have to google more ideas!

i guess i wouldn't spend a month in nepal and not go trekking -- i would use some of the time and go see some stuff in india like the red fort and taj mahal in agra and fatepur sikri and some things in delhi as well
but -- you should add to your list the following places in nepal that not many tourists go see and that in my opinion are just as worthwhile as durbar square, nargarkot, etc.:
patan -- i liked it better than bhaktapur
dulikhel
panauti
pashupatinath
bodanath
changu naryan
botanical garden
swayambunath
national museum
there are other small hindu temples around the valley (one whose name i forget where they have live animal sacrifices) but those are the best
all the foregoing are easily accessible from kathmandu
there are also a few small and one large (near bodanath) monasteries and hindu temples and other points of minor interest off the roads that head out in the different compass directions from kathmandu and just following these roads out of town up into the hills and beyond can make for an interesting day
and on the way to pokhara there is a cable car that takes you up to manakamana (sic) and there is a very nice hotel/restaurant to eat in near the cable car entrance, i forget the name of it 'cause it has been almost ten years
there are some nice short walks from manakamana to sacred caves but make sure you get back in time for the last cable car or you will have a long walk down
gorkha is also well worth a visit if you have the gumption to climb the 1500 steps to the old palace -- supposed to be a fabulous view but it was cloudy :( when i was there and then we couldn't go into the palace with our leather shoes on and i wasn't gonna walk in rat and bat and chicken shit with socks or bare feet so take some tevas or flip flops with you
all these things are fairly described in the rough guide to nepal so do a read through and get a decent map of the valley and maybe with all what i have suggested as well as what escher has listed one might actually fill up pretty close to a month
you might think about taking a side trip to lhasa -- it is not very hard to get to so i hear
