Langtang area

Could you please give some advice on the best trek in the November in Langtang area. We have approximately 7-8 days for trekking. Is it realistic to do Langtang valley and Tsergo Ri trek in 7-8 days? Or it's better to choose Gosaikund trek from Sundarijal to Dunche? What are main differences between these two treks?

Any advice on good books or internet sites with description of these treks and some maps?

Hi there....

I walked thru those areas 2 years ago about this time.....
I liked the Langtang area, and the trail from there up to the Gosainkund lakes a lot...However,I found the section from Laurabina la back down thru Hellambu less appealing: steep, lots of erosion, a great deal of trash along the way...I guess it is very much a personal opinion, but I for one don't enjoy the middle hills all that much.....I much prefer the trails that take you high up thru areas close to Tibet....

Is it still true that it's forbidden to bring video camera into Langtang park (and other parks) and permit costs around 100USD?
