Thanks Raaj, thanks Andrees. I guess that area behind and to the North of the Annapurna Range is definitely the go. Wether I make it to Mustang, well I have to think about it. It depends on how much time I spend elswhere. But it can be a possiblity, and an enticing one now that the compulsory liaison officer is no longer compulsory...
Otherwise, yes, the area between Manang and uper Jomson might be the cheaper alternative. I guess one can find time to explore some of off the major trek villages between Jomsom and Jharkot.
Should be exciting!

It was joy to read your long message about your trip.
As you said , you like to be yak arounds.. and local people, culture.
Then I just would like to suggest that, It is more interesting to you to do the trip like different way.. ,
it will be much more nice , and interesting to take some some off bitten track,,, mean local people village.. area rather than following always
the populer main trail, Then you will really enjoy. Hoever it depends how long time do you have for trekking in nepal, Please let me know then

I went in August a few years ago and was delayed from flying KTM to Lukla and only by one day. It was fine otherwise, take an umbrella, thats what the locals use. Incidently, I will be with qa group at that time going KTM to Tibet so if you fancy that let me know we have a space at present, it is not monsoon in Tibet in August, let me know
