Hi everyone,

This is my first post on your very interesting and imformative forum.

im heading out to Nepal on the 27th of feb for 5 weeks. I am hoping to complete the Annapurna trek as well as maybe a few smaller ones whilst away. I havent really done anything like this before and was hoping for somea advice. Mainly am i likely to need a porter/guide and also what state the circuit is likely to be in in MArch. I would expect to be reaching the hi point at around the 7-10th of MArch.

Any other help on what im to expect or need would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Im afraid i dont have any information on the trek conditions at the moment, but Im also considering trekking in the annapurna area in the second half of march, in particular the annapurna sanctuary trek. If you would like to be part of a group with me then email me and we can organise it. its dan_ward123@hotmail.com

Good idea to read info on sites like this one. Annapurna Circuit has become a bit shorter, with the advent of the loathsome road... I think it can be done in about 14 days, as you can ride the 4wd to Beni from some point.

I think ABC is still a magnificent short trek, and so are obviously Langtang and any of the Khumbu treks.

If you need a good porter/guide please write a private message to me or Sharon. Or look at the recommnedations on this forum.

Mach is a good time to do almost any of the treks.
