Hi

I am a Norwegian guy at the moment staying in Rishikesh in the state of Uttaranchal, India. I am planning to go to Nepal together with my girlfriend in the end of April, and want to go trekking in the Annapurna.
The shortest way to cross the India-Nepal border from Rishikesh is going to Mahendranagar in western Nepal and then take the bus along the Mahendra Highway to Pokhara or Kathmandu.
Is there anyone out there who has travelled this route recently? I would like to know if the buses, roads and bridges are OK or just to much hassle worth considering. Maybe it is better to go for the Sonauli crossing?

Dear,
Better follow the route from Sunauli. There are some problems along the way from Mahendranager.
