The best pizza

Let it be noted that the best pizza on The Sanctuary trek can
be had at the Shangri-La lodge at Deurali.

It seems they bake the dough out of corn flour, making a thin
and almost crispy crust. The pizza is very tasty and a pleasure
to eat. We even stopped for one at ten in morning on our way
down from ABC. The lodge is run by two brothers, sons of the original
owner, and they are pleasant to deal with.

On the circuit itself we had the best food at Mavi's kitchen
in Manang. Everything there was top trekking class.

Thanks Lars, good info. Pity I don't go in the other area for my next trek...

Two years ago we staid at a lodge in Namche where we've had the best pasta in Nepal(on par with Fire&Ice in Thamel, and Chez Caroline in Pokhara). I had pasta there for lunch and dinner for the two acclimatizing days. Unfortunately I forgot the name of that lodge... I will check it you if I can, at the end of this month. We should be in Namche for New Year's Eve, or Sylvester, as Per calls it.

In 2004 we were recommended the pizza at a lodge in ABC. I can't remember the name of the lodge but it's the last one on the right as you enter the lodge area, i.e., the one nearest to Annapurna I so to speak. The pizza was excellent. However, it's unlikely that the same cook is still there 3 years later!!
