I am trekking the AC in April and will be crossing the Thurong La Pedi. Can anyone advise me as to footwear required for the trek. Will joggers be ok for most of the trek. What footwear is required for the Thurong La.

hello Dave

I highly advise good waterproof hiking boots and smartwool socks. Have them broken in before you go . as the other guy said wear them everywhere for awhile before you go. also make sure your toenails are cut very short or you will suffer mightly going down hill. Especially after you go over the La it is about 1500 meters down. We just took a pair of flip flops to put on in the evenings.
