I do have to agree with Daniel. There are many issues here that outsiders do not always see. Also sunkist, the Nepalis who do run the trekking outfits, along with everyone involved in the tourism area, know the damage that is being done by the Maoist. Even already this year, tourism is down by a great deal. Even people from India are not coming up here for holiday. I do look forward to you coming to Nepal again Daniel, and I hope that you do not let the Maoist problem scare you away sunkist. There are still many things to do here in Nepal, and as Daniel said, as to date, to my knowledge, no tourist has been harmed by the Maoist.
