I've just spent four weeks in the Annapurnas and completed the Annapurna Circuit and Sanctuary. I've been in Thamel for a week or so......need to go trekking again soon as I've spent far too much time in Kathmandu! Was thinking of catching tourist bus to Jiri and walking to Namche Bazaar (8 days), then trekking to Gokyo Ri and back (15 days but if your preference is to go to EBC and Kala Pattar that would be ok but I hear its more crowded than Gokyo), then walking back to Jiri (may'be 5 days) and getting a bus back. So a total of around four weeks trekking. I'm happy trekking with up to one to four companions but no large groups as it tends to get complicated - I don't use porters or guides and tend to carry all my own kit including tent, stove etc. By the way, I am British, 37 and easy going.
