I am all for Everest base-camp in early May. As of now I am planning to trek alone as a couple of friends had to opt out bcoz of unavoidable circumstances. It would be my first trip to Nepal although I have trekked in the Indian Himalayas. Ready to spend 20-25 days and your plan of trekking from Jiri to base camp and flying out from Lukla sounds good to me.
