Recommendations for porter guides EBC

I hope to still make it to Gokyo and EBC region and am due to arrive at the end of this month. I am interested in any recommendations from trekkers who have had direct experience and can recommend someone.

Also could you let me know if they are Kathmandu or Khumbu based. If the former how did you negotiate the cost of travel to the region. I was originally going by bus to Jiri and walk. Then given the events of late last year thought to fly in to Lukla. More recent events make it intereting but I think I will still fly in to Lukla. The issue of the porter/guide location becomes a bit more of an issue? What do others do ? Look for porters in Lukla or Kathmandu

Also what is the flight cost to Lukla?
