first april is an excellent season for the Annapurna base camp.
Its just important to stay at least one night at ABC, you just may see the mountains at sunrise.Trekking there is very easy, as there are plenty lodges on the way, with excellent food an soft matrasses. Important is to know, that there is the danger of avalanches in April. There is a strech of the trail where you have to be carefull and to start in the very early morning. You dont need the help of a trekking agency, but a porterguide would be very fine. Porterguides carry up to 25 kg and speak acceptable english. i could give you the adress of my friend Bachan in pokhara, with whom I trekked allready seweral times, as did some other friends of me.
