Dear Anne
As you have noticed what people like David,Daniel and lot other veiwers of this forum cinfirm that once you been to Nepal you get addicted and keep coming again and again. Both ABC & EBC treks are most rewarding treks for any first timers but the choice mostly depend on fitness,of the individual. Both these treks have different sights, culture, local lifestyle and mountains. If your idea is just to do a trek in Nepal..do ABC and take a mountain flight from Kathmandu to see eastern himalayas including MT.Everest but if you wish to see a close view of MT.Everest choose EBC trek.I am an adventure travel/tour operator based in Kathmandu and can hanlde all your logistics.Should you email me the duration of your visit I can email back an itenerary with cost to suit your time and pocket. My email is raajkhand@yahoo.com
regards Raaj

P.S what do you say Daniel?

You could also consider the Jomsom trek which I have just done over 11 days. This has amazing scenary, but also has the advantage of great lodges, cultural diversity and brilliant hot springs at Taotapani.

Hi Raaj,
Oh mate, I am already thinking about my next trip. This time without whingeing relatives, I solemnly promise you. They really runied my trip this time, but hey, one lives and learns. I also want to come to Kathmandu without a patricular plan in mind, and just hook up with some kindred spirits (without imbibing too much spirit though, just a little...), and go wherever inspiration takes us. Tell me what do you know about the Kanchenjuga trek, or treks? The region in general, logistics, etc... I have read Lonely planet, Bezruchka etc, I am interested in a Man-on-the-ground opinion. I will ask Nick as well, se what he reckons.
Thanks
Daniel
