Dhaulagiri Circuit

Hi,

I am trying to track down some information about Dhaulagiri Circuit. I understand that it can be done as an extension to the Annapurna Circuit. How much time would I need to do this trek. All the information I have read, describes it as a reasonably dangerous trek.

If anybody is familiar with this trek, could you tell me about your experiences and whether it is as bad as everybody makes it.

There is a basic difference between Annapurna Trek and round Daulagiri. Al around Annapurna, you will find lodges, food an a trail, which can be easely follwed. Daulagiri is a trek with no infrastructure, you will have to carry a tent, stoves and food for several days and its advisable to have an experienced guide with you. I case of snowfall round Daulagiri can switch very fast to a full scale high himalaya expedition and one should be prepared to this.
See Daulagiri not as an extension from round Annapurna but round Annapurna as a little warm up for round Daulagiri.
