I was wondering how much money I should budget for the Annapurna Circuit? I am planning on carrying my own equipment and not using a guide.

Dear henry,
Namaste & Greetings from Nepal !

I am professional trekking Guide, regular working in HIMATREK interntional pvt.ltd.
I would like to sugges as my experience,

It depends on that how do you want, if you like to drink hard & saft drinks, then it is more, if not just for nor mal food only then goes cheaper, Apporximately, you have to calculate at least 15 -20 dollers per day for food and acconmodation ,and further other thing such as shopping on the way , hiring, porters horse if necessary , for other incase of emmergency, it always wise to get some extra money. Please remember that the annapurna circuit trek can be done 14 days to 22 days, so that you need to calculate as you required.

Please further more detail information you may send the e-mail to me
at below address, feel free to write any time,

Depending on how frugal or extravagant you are (yes you can be extravagant even in the middle of the Himalayas), you would need somewhere between 7-14 US dollars per day for lodge and accommodation. You can certainly do it without a guide or porter. Many people do that. I would suggest you get some porter-guide, if you can, or get together with another trekker and hire a porter-guide. There is such a variety of individual if you search, and it makes the trip a lot more interesting and enjoyable, easier and safer. Carrying a 15-20kg backpack up Thorung La is not necesarily my cup of tea, but you might be very fit. In addition you learn a lot more about the area and the Nepali culture when you trek with a local. However if cost is the major driver, and you are prepared to slog it out on your own, you can do that too.
Whatever you do, enjoy Nepal. It is an amazing place.
Cheers
Daniel
