I'm going to be on an expedition to climb Cho Oyu in Sept and will be off the mountain Oct 9. I thought it'd be fun to do the Everest Base camp trek or other treks in Nepal afterwards. Let me know if interested. I'm 28, male, Canadian, Stanford PhD. I prefer slightly faster paces to cut down the time it takes.

Hi, I'm 12, male, Nepali, Cambridge BSC (Bronze Swimming Certificate - if that is important - not that I like to talk about it) and I am looking for modest, highly educated, fast paced mountaineers to keep the demands of the Luscious Yeti Woman at bay. Her tastes are very refined and seeing as Yakshaver hasn't visited the Khumbu for ages means she is VERY randy.

Hi there LYM
I think you might not have your numbers right, 12!!!!!!!! Or is that just mental age?
I would like to help out, but Im afraid I cant help you with the LYW, thats not my vocation in life, that happens to be YS job! I think you are being very tactful, or maybe you dont know that YS and the LYW met up a few weeks ago, (OOPS) maybe Im not supposed to mention that. Were you too busy swimming to notice she had packed her bag and left you for a couple of weeks?
Well, good luck on your quest for young, handsome, modest, fast mountaineers, Im sure they will be heading towards the LYW in droves!

Let me make it very clear: I have never met that (Luscious Yeti) woman. And I don't know anything about any dress, dry cleaned or not.
I am a bit concerned at the comments I might have met the Luscious Yeti Woman a few weeks ago. I am sure your comments are being taken out of context... by you.
I am also concerned that LYM (Luscious Yeti Man??) is... tempting the devil, as it were. He may live to regret it, fast paced walking or not...
The LYW is lightning fast accross the valleys and ravines, and only the best quality tungsten tipped trekking pole, used with supreme skill, can keep her at bay. LYM's comments are reckless in the extreme. With satelite and wifi communication these days, who knows, the "lady" might even scour the internet in search of victims. Pride goeth before the fall, and, from what I hear, falling pray to the Luscious Yeti Woman leaves someone totally changed, and not for the better. A blabbering mess of emotions, and uncoordinated spastic-like actions, with speech impediments to boot.
Also, with "LYM's" comments, as with yours Julia (and I expected better from you...) it might be that some first timer, or more naive person, might actually trek to Nepal in the hope of actually encountering the near-mythical creature knonwn as the Luscious Yeti Woman. I hear that since Escher's and Oli's excursions to Khumbu last year, LYW been nursing some babies. Absolute coincidence about Oli, Escher and the babies, I am (almost) sure...

I did the same thing back in 2000 (no summit; 7500m). You'll be amazed how easy the trekking is in the Khumbu after you have a few days of rest following the expedition. We climbed Imja Tse in 4 1/2 hours and had a great time doing it!
I was back in '04 and did a few solo and group climbs, including Pokalde as a day-climb out of Chukhung.
There's a lot more I want to do up there and having someone who also likes to move fast would be fun.
You can look at: http://piotrowski.smugmug.com for photos that document my adventures.
I'll be in Nepal starting late-September for two months. I want to start up in Langtang, since I've only been there (twice) during the monsoon. I'd actually like to see what the mountains up there look like and spend some time up on the glaciers near the Tibet border. Maybe head back via the Shipton Col.
The other thing on my agenda is Annapurna. I'd like to see it in Autumn.
You can send an e-mail to the address listed in my profile for further discussion.
