Hello All...I'm trekking the AC in September and was just wondering what is the climate like on most of the trek. I understand it gets fairly cold at the pass. Could someone tell me how cold is cold? What kind of tempuratures can I expect?
Also...Do I need a guide or can you do the trek without a guide.

Thanks,
Alex

September will not be bitterly cold. Thorung La may get aroung 0 to 8 degrees, at around 8-9 am in the morning, when you're likely to cross it.
If you go in December you may get -10 to -20 degrees.

You can do the AC without a guide/porter. If it is you first trip, and if you have more than 10 kg in your pack, I suggest employing a porter-guide.
