There really is no problem what so ever at present.I really do not know what to say there must be a lot of misunderstanding and fear from folk outside of Nepal WHY WHAT ARE YOU READING OR HEARING.To date nothing for tourists has changed...future who knows... wherever in this world..So to all those still coming ..come and enjoy there is absolutely no problem.AND IF THERE IS I WILL BE THE FIRST TO LET YOU KNOW.
Namaste Nick.

Thanks Nick, Raaj, for keeping us up-to-date. Glad to hear that there is not much to report. I only have 13 more days to go until my departure towards Kathmandu, and time seems to flow so slowly know...
I try to keep myself busy with work (sort of) and watching the Kiwis thrashing the Aussies at cricket for a change. YES!!!! NZ has to get 8 wickets in a day tomorrow (conversly Australia has to score about 369 runs to win). Go the Black Caps!!

Thanks

Why ponder and mull about this nonsense? Just do it or stay at home and get mugged or hit by a drunk driver.
Not ONE foreginer has ever been killed by a Maoist. In Madrid 6 people are murderered DAILY. In New York, about 20. In Los Angeles more. Forget about your self importance. If you die on the Lonely planet gringo trail - the chances are much less than from your everyday life in oppulent cities. Drop your damn cuppacinos, lattes and head for the hills. Unless you are a flagrant, American yahoo biggot - your chance of being murdered by a Maoist and plastered on the front page of OUTSIDE magazine are less than winning the California lottery.
Buddha, Allah and God bless you dear Nick, Johnny on the Spot Gringo for your eyes and ears on the ground in Nepal.
Alan
