Hi,
I am heading to Nepal in October this year. Can't wait! Every bit of reading and research makes me more and more excited.

I haven't done much trekking before (one trip up Kili) and could do with some advise.

For one, I have signed up to do a circuit that takes in Gokyo, crosses Cho La pass and then EBC, taking about 22 days for the trip. I am pretty fit, but am bit concerned about Cho La. I've read the postings about it here, but it seems like the responders are quite experienced trekkers. What will it be like for a city-dwelling novice trekker? Am I over-stretching myself? And what can I do to prepare myself better?

thanks for the help :)

There nothing better to prepare than walking up and down hills. If you have the opportunity to do that before the trek, it would be good. In terms of Cho La, with a good guide it is not difficult technically. In bad weather and without experience, it is a killer.

By the time you get to it you'd be in reasonably good shape, if you've made it that far.
