Trekking to Everest base camp in mid.december

Is it possible to trek from Lukla to Everest base camp in mid december?

I also plan to make the trek to Gokyo mid december. Daniel, please answer some questions:
1`How reliable are flights to and from lukla in this season (weather)?
2 I have a limited number of days for my trek. I will arrive in ktm on dec 14th and my flight back to Holland is on jan first. Would you advise (knowing this) to make the trek to Gokyo?
