Hi,

My husband and I are/were due to go to Nepal to do a trek feb/march. however, the company we are/were going with have now changed the trek considerably, increasing the price and reducing the itinery considerably.

We would like to do some treking in Annapurna follwed by a few days rafting finished off with some time in the national park, neither of us are experienced trekers and we live in the UK.

Can anyone recommend a good company that can help us out.

Thanks

Laura and Nick

Laura, Nick,

You might want to emil Nick Fry, who occasionally contributes updates from the Kingdom, as well as words of wisdom and advice on trekking and travelling to Nepal. He is based in the Annpurna region are and runs Himalayastudy. He has about 15 years experience in organising trekking and other activities in Nepal, and hails from the UK. Please see the details below:

I am looking forward to my fourth trip to Nepal in mid-december (20 days left, yes!!) and hope to meet Nick for a beer (cold, I hope!) at his Snowland lodge in Ghandruk.

Have a good time in Nepal, it is an amazing place.

Cheers
Daniel

To secure trust from a travel group you need to go with a large well established organisation but they are expensive.

Go over to Nepal and make your arrangements from there. The tourist trade there at present is really hurting due to decline in numbers and there are many good deals to be obtained. such are both fair to you and still a fair earn for the operator.

I have just returned and in fact question whether you need to put it all together from home, it was my first visit-I travelled alone and have no complaints.

which parts or tours did you wish to do?
