Dear All,
Can you let me know your suggestions for a 17 or 18 day trip to Nepal from Europe for trekking? I have done Everest BC and think Annapurna BC is a possibility but wonder if there is something else out there I don't know about that would take about 10days from Kathmandu and back?
Also having been to 5545m I am thinking Annapurna may be a little less of a challenge than I would like...Any suggestion gratefully received!
Thanks,
Paul

How about Langtang? It is about 7 days, not as challenging perhaps as AC or EBC...

Try the Annapurna Circuit; that to me is the best trek in the world. I to was cofined to an 18 day maximum away from home, and completed the Circuit a few years ago in 12 days, so it is well within your timescale if you are able/prepared to trek long days at a decent pace.

AC is great on it's own... If you have the time and inclination to add on the ABC (Annapurna Sanctuary) it is becomes even better.
Regarding Paul's comments that it may not be enough of a challenge, it is important to keep in mind that there are a number of side trips which make it a great (and even dangerous, depending on the conditions) challenge: e.g. the side trip to Tilicho, Dhaulagiri Ice Fall, etc.

Hello Paul,
Annapurna Base camp is perfect trip for a 17 or 18 days. It is less challanging then the Everest trek but it is equally important and popular as EBC. It is about 4130 m high which is best altitude for the any kind of trekkkers. If you are not intrested in ABC then there is other region too, which is awesome for trekking, such as Lagntang region, Jomsom, Mustang.
cheers

Fully agree. From Pisang take higher trail through Ghyaru and Ngawal (incredible views, I liked better from Ghyaru), from there you also can go up for one day trip. Also from Manang you can go to one day trip to east side.
