Wondering if someone can give me an idea of how much i will pay for a guide to trek with. I just want to do a tea house trek in the everest region alone and was just going to hire a guide for safety reasons.

I just got back and paid $10 US per day for my guide. That covered insurance for him as he is in your employ and all his costs. I spent about $8 US per day for my food and accommodation

I just got back from the everest region. We hired a guide who was excellent at the Paradise Lodge in Lukla. His name was Pemba (an older gentleman about 50). He knew the mountains really well, and got us across Cho-La in the middle of a blizzard.
It cost us 600 Rupees per day (A$18 per day). I believe this was a reasonably average price.
Regards,
Paul
