I have always been inclined into the tourism industry since i was 6yrs.My father is an expert on the tourism field and he has been serving the tourism industry since the last 25 years. He has taught me a lot about the tourism field.I was never interested in tourism ,but eventually i have landed into this field.Since i had sense and till now all the tour packages offered to tourist are the same ,the only diffrence you find is the amount of the package decreasing.

I have been wondering ; isn't it time for some change? Shouldn't we be offering the tourist a lot more than what we have been offering?

Nepal is a beautiful land, with lots of mountain ,also rivers and we have the worlds most exciting places to offer.

I just wanted to know what you people think about this issue.Do we need some really good tour packages to attract and interest the fellow tourist.Or is it ok ? Do we still follow the tour plan ,which is way to old.Should we include team building and stuffs into the packages.

In spain ,i've heard, the tour operators include and organise a competion for tourist ,where the tourist have to work out on team building. The winner gets waiver of money of his tour package.

Let's start building up some really good travel plans for the tourists. It's time our generation take some leap.

Thanking you!

P.S Let me know what you guys think.

Hey!!
Why do you think it's horrible???
Do you think you'll always like the same food to be in your stomach???
No offence. But well i think if we have the same food everyday,we'll get sick.
Please be clear as why you think it's horrible.

People DO NOT WANT OFFICE/WORK RELATED ACTIVITIES ON HOIDAY.AS holidays are about getting away from the competitive world of work. My advice is for Nepalese guides to learn more about flora, fauna, navigation, culture, route finding..ie become a guide to Alpine standards.

Trekking (obviously!)
Rafting
Bungy jumping
Mountain biking
Canyoning
Paragliding
Jungle safari
Cultural tours (temples & villages etc)
Meditation retreats
Bird watching
.....

There are sooo many things to do in Nepal, it's difficult to think of new & different things that you could add to to the programme. But I also think that "team building exercises" would be extremely low on my list of choices.

Ah, but I think 7days, like the Nepal Tourist Board, thinks about cashed up tourists and corporate money. Something Nepal is not equiped to handle (and in my opinion should not chase, but who am I to decide...). There is this dream of the backpackers disapearing from Nepal and all the rich tourists coming to bestow their money inside the kingdom... Which is both laughable and sad, at the same time...
