flights to Shyangboche

Hi there,
Planning of trekking to Gokyo but because of tight schedule, I wonder if there are flights to Shyangboche so that I could save the time in trekking from Lukla to Namche Bazaar before heading towards Gokyo?

Hi,
Once ago, there was a little airstrip near the everest view hotel, wich is located some 300 m abowe Namche Bazar. Busy people with little time flew in and had terrible headake and quiet often just died. No wonder that the hotel was not that succesful.
Even if there would be a higher airstrip, you could not use it, because your body needs a proper aklimatization of some days. Going up to Gokyo is one the parts with the highest percentage of deaths by altitude sickness in Nepal because people go up to fast.
So if you have little time consider a trek like 5 Days in the Annapurnaregion or to Langtang. They are also very enjoyable.

I don´t think it´s possible to fly to Shyangboche. They only use it for cargo. It´s certainly no very wise, you will have high risk to get AMS (altitude sickness).
