Thank you all.
I am referring to the Poon Hill section, so in that case, I do need down jacket, right? Is it easy to get down jacket in Kathmandu, and how much will it cost? Also is it possible to rent a sleeping bag in Kathmandu? How long will it take to finish the Poon Hill section?

Hello,
You are lucky because november is the month when there is usuly the best weather with blue skys an georgious mountain view. In several treks in november I never had more than a single day of rain.
In the second half of november the weather is getting colder so that the advice of Daniel concerning a downjacket i perfecly right. You will not need it so much while trekking the in daytime but you will love it in the afternoons and definitively in the morning at poon hill. Fortunally you can easily rent downjackets for about half a dollar a day in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
You also can rent for the same price a slleping bag. As Daniel wrote, lodges are not heated, they do provide blankets but you should bring a fairly warm sleeping bag with you.
I guess you are planning the roundtrek Damphus-Landrung-Gandung-Tadapani-Gorepani-Birethanti. This is not a very difficult trek but you will have to climb hunderts of meters a day, just to go down again the same amount. Consider to have a porter/guide with you. It is deffinitively not necessary, but it can make the trek far more enjoyable.
Dont miss the old village of Gandrung, it is hidden an the regulary trekking path goes far besides it. so you should ask peoploe for the right way. There are to old parts, one near the ACAPoffice and the second 15 min further. Its worth to go there or even better to stay a least a night! (See Nick ´s lodge on the board or look at my pictures in www.nepal-dia.de)
Dont bother to find fellow trekkers to go with you. You met them in the restaurants, on the bus or on the blackbord from hotels. Famous is the one of kathmandu guest house in Kathmandu. But even if you start alone, you will meet plenty of people on the way. i startet often by myself and endet the trek together with new friends.
Have a nice trek Andrées
