phone on EBC ?

Hi ,

I know this might sound a bit strange , but... I really need to know if there
are any (international) phones on the EBC route ? Namche ? Lukla ?

Yep, I know it is my vacation and getting isolated is a big part of the game, but I do need a phone.

Any reliable and genuine answer will be greatly appreciated.

You can make international calls from Lukla and Namche at least. This info is one almost 2 years old now, January 2000. Some of the bigger lodges had phones wich connected internationally. I am not sure if you can do this beyond Namche.

I just got back from the trek and found phones all the way up the mountain. Even at Gorek Shep!!!!!!!
