Hi Denis, I guess you will return the 15th of oct. arent you?
To go from Phedi to Tolka in the first day is a pretty hard day, there are hunderts feets of altitude you have to climb. But it would be ok if you are a very trained person. To go from Chomrong to Gorepani in one day is not realistic, normaly you go in one long day to Tadapani and then a other day to gorepani. But you could go in a long day from Gorepani to Birethanti instead of two. If you skip Gorepani you could go over Gandrung, is has a very beautiful old village center. But anyway, you can decide every day how much you want to go, there are plenty lodges all on the way and there is not only a singel shedule
In ABC its pretty cold in the night, but most lodges have some blankets, so that you just need a warm sleeping bag. During daytime it is very hot, so have clothes with short sleeves.
You can a look to some pictures of this trek in my site www.nepal-dia.de
Have a nice trek. Andrées

Thanks for all your help, I have decided that it would be better to skip Poon Hill after all and will visit Ghandrung/Ghandruk instead. Would it be better to visit Ghandrung/Ghandruk on the way up to Chomrong or on the way back down.

Finally, at present I only have a pair of gore-tex hiking shoes, would these be ok for the Annapurna sancturary trek or do I need to get a pair of hiking Boots when I get to KTM/Pokhara.

looking forward to getting to Nepal
Denis
