Just a thought I take people some in their seventies to wonderful trekking areas in Nepal in a very eco friendly way which includes treks over 4000 metres without the need for (ice climbing and summiting} which I personally enjoy,I do that with folk in their forties fifties and sixties and yes some are younger.I do not know how many times you have been to Nepal but I find folk two days into their trek who are are experts I am sure I was...something after 15 years in Nepal I realise I will never be .

Happy trekking

Nick.

Dear Hiliray,
The main problem is just to get a flight to Nepal, as october is very busy. You can easily make your personal programe including Trekking, rafting and naturalpark on You own, you dont need any tour operator. Unfortunaly you just have little time for all you want to do.
A good combination would be some days in Kathmandu, trekking in the annapurna region where you can make treks from 5 days to 4 weeks (have a look to my pictures in www.nepal-dia.de) and if you still have the time, a trip to chitwan.
Langtang could also be a nice trek for 10 days.
On the main trekking routes You will always find good lodges and food.
Be aware, that dassain festival is around 15 october, it´s possible that the office, where you must obtain your entry permit for annapurna, is closed for a week during this time.
Good Luck and pleasure in Nepal, it is a wonderfull country

Nick,

I do apologise if I have been too inconsiderate with my comment about tenting, "eco" friendly expeditions etc. I certainly did not mean to offend you, and I understand and accept your "chastising". I suppose I was refereing to tent treks on the popular routes such as ABC or the usual Everest region fare. I am sure you do a great job with trekking, and in no way did I mean any sleight. I certainly respect all you have had to say on this trekking page. I have been to Nepal four times in the last 6 years - definitely nowhere near the 15 years experience you have, and I do readily admit I still have a lot to learn. Maybe I have to be a bit more careful in expressing my own biases regarding tenting on the "popular" routes. I realise many people prefer them, and I suppose which ever way you experience Nepal, it is still awesome. I should not judge I guess.

Regards
Daniel
