Cho-La in February

How technical is this pass in February? A few years ago I was there at this same time and didn't do it b/c everyone said the lodges in Dzongla were closed. Has anyone done this pass in February? If so, is the village of Dzongla deserted? Also, has anyone waited til Namche to hire a guide? I'd definitely want to take one with me on the pass.

The lodge in Dgonzola will probabblly be closed. That lodge was pretty discusting anyway and I went straight from Gokyo to Lobuche in one long day. But that way in the spring, winter is a different story.
