Trekking companion for Annapurna

I am planning to go trekking in the Annapurna starting somewhere next week (mid October). It will be my first trek in Nepal. I am thinking of doing the trek from Pokhara to Jomson/Muktinhat or maybe Annapurna Base Camp as well. I have already a guide. I have plenty of time.

hi, in my humble opinion you should start at the other end of the circuit and go to Muktinach and Jomson, the climb from Muktinach to Thorung La is a butt kicker, it's hard enough on your knees just coming down from Thorung La towards Muktinach. Taking the alternate route after you have beat the crap out of yourself for weeks there is a nice hot springs awaiting you to soak your weary beat up bones and clean all the trail dirt off with some long time serious soaking.
