Two years passed and I have not achieved my objective....:-( My trekking story (which were to be published) is ready only in Polish in 33%. Hundreds of pictures are wating to be scaned. Recent news from Nepal about my countrymen caught by Maoist near Jiri motivated me to do something. I started to draft the foto web galllery including some pictures from my previous trips in the Khumbu region (1994) and Thorung La (2004). It is not ready yet....
Can you believe what I feel looking at the pictures from the very heart of the Himalayas? Something is catching and holding the soul.

Instead of beeing there now (had to cancel for the the tird time) I can only read your post and look at the pictures.

I am with you all.
Cheers!!

Hi Julia!

Where and when did you go in 2004? Did we meet somewhere in the hills? Or maybe we had lunch in Kayhmandu?

:-)

I was in the khumbu area April 2004, so no we didnt physically meet in the hills or have lunch in Kathmandu, you wouldve remembered for sure! but it would have been great if we had! When do you think you will be able to go back?

Well, thanks for hanging out there. That's a pity that we did not meet last time in 2004. Actually I was doing AC in Jan/Feb. The third time in winter in Nepal. The only good thing about the season is that it is not crowded. :-) But on the other hand missed opportunity to meet you personally. My plans will become true maybe this fall or next year winter (again) . How abour you?\Rakshi
