The name "EVEREST" is magic in itself. Everest ( 8848m. ) is called "SAGARMATHA" in Nepali "Higher than the Sky" and "CHHOMOLUNGMA" in Tibetan "Mother Goddess of the Earth". The quickest and easiest way to reach this region is by flight to Lukla at 2827 m. The Solukhumbu region has sweeping glaciers, magnificent mountains, forests, animals, birds, monasteries and is the home of the world famous Sherpa people. Sherpas are the real mountaineers of Nepal. In 1953,Tinzing Norgay Sherpa became one of the first men to conquer Mount Everest along with Sir Admon Hillary of New Zealand.

For an extended trek and experience of village life, we start the trek to this region at Jiri, a 10 hours drive from Kathmandu.
