Hello all, I am wanting to get into mountaineering and was thinking of attempting an ascent of Yala Peak with a guiding service. I was hoping if you guys could please give me your thoughts on whether this is a good first time ascent that is also challenging. I have no real experience but have read on various sites that it is not a difficult peak. Any ideas/thoughts/suggestions will be greatly appreciated. thanks and regards

Raj,
Good to see you post. Haven't see many posts from you lately. What makes Yala Peak a good choice for a first timer? How does it compare to say Island or Mera Peaks?
How are things for treking?
