The November edition of National Geographic has a major story on the Maoists. Unfortunately for trekkers, it does not give alot of insight into either the Annapurna or Khumbu regions.
Whilst the coveage is quite grim nearly all the occurrences are in the far west, which is I suppose is good news for trekkers.
