I would like to recommend Raju Nepal as a trekking guide. I went for a 6 day trek with him in the Annapurna region in December 2004.
He really has excellent English and a really good knowledge of the geography and botany of the places we visited. He also knew a lot about the ethnic groups living in the mountains and he found a lot of opportunities for me to socialise with them and find out about their ways of life.
He was always really helpful and I would definitely trust him to know what to do in an emergency. He also has a great sense of humour and is a lot of fun to be with.
Raju is a government accredited guide and he has years of experience of treking in the Annapurnas, the Langtang Region, the Everest Region and other popular trekking areas in Nepal. He is based in Kathmandu.
