In Sept 2010 I walked the wonderful Annapurna Sanctuary (ABC) trek with two good mates. I organised the three week trip all by email with the excellent Independent Trekking Guide Cooperative (http://www.independent-trekkingguide-nepal.com/index.html). For an extensive write-up of our great adventure including photos and many details about the service and hospitality we received from our hosts, have a look at my blog entry (http://bangingmyhead.blogspot.com/2010/10/annapurna-sanctuary-trek-nepal.html). (it is much too long to copy/paste as a thread here).
Cheers!

Thanks for your fantastic description (so far)of your ABC trek - sitting in rainy Sydney on Anzac night with a glass of red to fortify me - reminded so well of my trip to ABC a few years ago with 2 oldish friends and a fantastic guide. Food and lodges shower facilities were important to us too! Fungi, not so much...
Never heard of the Mother's Groups when I've been in Nepal but what a great thing...will look for their influence next time (hopefully soon!)
Cheers,
Lee (Sydney)
