10 days to GO!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I need some updating:

1. How much is it for one month Visa?
2. What is needed to get it at the airport?
3. I remember I read something about photos, are photos necessary to get the visa or for the trekking permit?
4. How many photos?

Thanks

USD 40 for 30 days

Form to be completed, 1 photo, get form in advance off the web as its a bit of a help getting to the line up. Some airlines hand them out on board but lately Silkair for one hasn't so then you get them before the immigration counter and compete for a space to complete it but then usually you wait for the bags anyway so it cancels out.

and you will need photos for permits/TIMS.

enjoy your trek.

;Nameste, it's been years since I've been to Nepal. It used to be you could purchase visa upon arrival in USD currency only which then was $30.00, I heard it is now $100.00 but not real sure on that figure. Take plenty of passport photos for permits if you go trekking, renewals if you decide to stay longer Happy trails

$100 is for the longer visa, 90 days I believe - the cheaper fee is for up to 30 days. And no, if you're married to a Nepali citizen the fee is not waived, FYI :p

You can get your photos taken at the airport(there is a place next to the money changer) and there are plenty of photo shops in KTM/Pokhara for permits etc. but I usually get them done at home to save time.

Photos:
you can take your own passport-style photos for Nepal visa, TIMS, permits, etc -- print out from digital camera on good photo paper

Much cheaper than getting "passport" photos (at least, here in Canada)
